Small Beginnings
Persnickety Tim's Coffee started out in 1996 as a small, drive-thru coffee shop in Waco, Texas owned and run by Persnickety Tim (Tim Welter, M.D.) and wife Jo Welter. After years of roasting coffee for himself in a hot-air popcorn popper, it was Persnickety Tim's dream to share his love for good coffee with everyone, and a coffee shop complete with a German-made coffee roaster was just the way to do that. For several years, people around Waco started and ended their day with great coffee from the Persnickety Tim's Coffee drive-thru.

Evolution
In 2002, Tim & Jo enlisted new members to the Persnickety Tim's Coffee team. With the addition of their son, Gus Welter, and entrepreneur and long-time friend Paula Barron, the Persnickety Tim’s Coffee website was launched, featuring coffees from around the world, several coffee blends crafted by Persnickety Tim, and gift baskets featuring wonderful gourmet products.
Great Coffee for Everyone
Today, Persnickety Tim’s Coffee is based exclusively on the web. Coffee is hand-roasted in small batches and shipped to people all over the United States.
About the Website

The Persnickety Tim's Coffee forums system is based on phpBB, an open-source bulletin board system also developed by people around the world and licensed under the GNU General Public License. Special thanks go to the development teams of both of these projects. |
